Visas for Spain
European Union citizens (+ Norway, Iceland and CH) do not need a visa and can enter Spain with an identity card or valid passport.
Citizens from Canada, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, and the USA, among others, do not need a visa if they plan to study and stay in Spain less than 90 days. Please check with the nearest Spanish Embassy or Consulate. Nationals of these countries who wish to study for more than 90 days require a "Visado de Estudios". You must obtain your Student Visa from the Spanish Embassy or Consulate before you leave your country.
Students who need a visa to study in Spain should apply very early. It may take several weeks to complete the visa application procedure.
Important: We require a deposit of 500 Euros before we can process the confirmation documents needed for the visa application. This deposit is deducted from your final invoice. If your visa application is refused by the Spanish Embassy or Consulate, we will refund the deposit and any other paid fees after deducting an administrative charge of 50 Euros, provided we receive the refusal letter from the Spanish Embassy or Consulate.
